| Sumario: | In the scope of the translation, the Cultural Markers are words or expressions that present difficulties to be translated, due to its connection with specific cultural aspects. This article presents a study of the Cultural Markers present in the literary work Macunaíma: um herói sem caráter, written by Mário de Andrade and the translation of these cultural markers to Spanish. It is based on a parallel (Portuguese-Spanish) corpus, aiming to catalog cultural markers in the field of social culture, drawing up lexicographic cards and a bilingual glossary, which will compose an electronic dictionary system. The present research is about 14 cultural markers, and the comparison to the notes introduced in the Spanish translation (Olea, 1777). The research is based on studies about cultural markers (Aubert, 2006, 1998) and on corpus linguistics (Berber Sardinha, 2000). |
