| Sumario: | The Museum of Drug Policy in Mexico City was the reproduction of the pop up museum that was previously exhibited in London, Montreal and New York. The event was organized by non profit organizations committed to expose the humanitarian drama that the war on drugs has meant. The museum achieved its goal of raising awareness through art exhibited in 8 rooms with 80 pieces made by 26 artists, along with conferences and public conversations that opened a dialogue, which highlighted the social consequences of prohibitionist drug policy. In one weekend, the museum managed to connect attendees with each other, with others and with the harsh reality of a failed drug policy that must be transformed to alleviate the suffering of patients, users, victims, and society as a whole that pays the violent consequences of the meaningless combat. |
