Sumario:This article theorizes on the participatory, contextual, affective and aesthetic characteristics of peasant knowledge. How is the knowledge of the people constructed? What are the social, cultural and biographical elements that allow the emergence and maintenance of agroecological knowledge? What is the environment that fosters creativity and collective imagination for the creation of solutions to concrete problems? How do peasants know from the body and the intensity of sense perceptions? Rather than offering agronomic reasoning, this paper takes a phenomenological approach to the situated and embodied environmental knowledge of the people in order to contribute to discussions on the political ecology of agriculture.
