This work synthesizes the intervention, carried out in front of students of the different careers that are taught at the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities of the National University of Cordoba, focusing on the past and present of the historian's profession. Firstly, we reviewed the beginnings of this profession in our environment, linked to the Institute of Americanist Studies created in 1936 while we reconstructed the periodization of historical studies in Argentina. Secondly, from the consideration of the links between history, politics and memory, we asked ourselves about the place of history in society where different political and social actors make use of the past to legitimize their place in the present. We exemplify these relationships through the debate that took place in 1934 around the publication of the History of the Argentine Nation, promoted by the Junta de Historia y Numismática. Finally, we emphasize that many of the issues that we are currently discussing are present in this debate: who writes history/models of historians; who are the recipients of these stories; what kind of history should be written; who are the subjects, the actors of these stories; the links between the history produced and the history taught; the uses of the past in the processes of legitimization of power. |

Este trabajo sintetiza la intervención, realizada frente a ingresantes a las distintas carreras que se dictan en la Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, centrada en el pasado y el presente del oficio de historiador. En primer lugar, revisamos los comienzos de este oficio en nuestro medio, vinculado al Instituto de Estudios Americanistas creado en 1936 al tiempo que reconstruimos la periodización de los estudios históricos en Argentina. En segundo lugar, a partir de la consideración de los vínculos entre la historia, la política y la memoria, nos preguntamos por el lugar de la historia en la sociedad donde diferentes actores políticos y sociales hacen uso del pasado para legitimar su lugar en el presente. Ejemplificamos dichas relaciones a través del debate que tuvo lugar en 1934 en torno a la publicación de la Historia de la Nación Argentina, promovida por la Junta de Historia y Numismática. Finalmente, destacamos que en dicho debate están presentes muchos de los temas que discutimos actualmente: ¿Quiénes escriben la historia/modelos de historiador? ¿Quiénes son los destinatarios de esas historias? ¿Qué tipo de historia debe escribirse? ¿Quiénes son los sujetos, los actores de esas historias?; los vínculos entre la historia producida y la historia enseñada; los usos del pasado en los procesos de legitimación del poder. Este trabalho sintetiza a intervenção, realizada perante os alunos das diferentes carreiras leccionadas na Faculdade de Filosofia e Humanidades da Universidade Nacional de Córdoba, centrando-se no passado e no presente da profissão do historiador. Em primeiro lugar, revimos o início desta profissão no nosso meio, ligada ao Instituto de Estudos Americanistas criado em 1936, enquanto reconstruímos a periodização dos estudos históricos na Argentina. Em segundo lugar, a partir da consideração dos laços entre história, política e memória, interrogamo-nos sobre o lugar da história na sociedade onde diferentes actores políticos e sociais fazem uso do passado para legitimar o seu lugar no presente. Exemplificamos estas relações através do debate que teve lugar em 1934 em torno da publicação da História da Nação Argentina, promovida pela Junta de Historia y Numismática. Finalmente, salientamos que muitas das questões que estamos actualmente a discutir estão presentes neste debate: quem escreve história/modelos de historiadores; quem são os destinatários destas histórias; que tipo de história deve ser escrita; quem são os sujeitos, os actores destas histórias; as ligações entre a história produzida e a história ensinada; os usos do passado nos processos de legitimação do poder.
