The National Directorate of Talent and Knowledge (2021) reported that, among the nursing personnel, 11 % of it had a licentiate degree, 41 % of it were regular nurses and 48% of it were assisting nurses. The nursing work is handled by healthcare agents, who have a profession with a clear role, specific functions and status within the interdisciplinary team. The objective was to determine information on the characteristics of the nursing profession possessed by the interdisciplinary team at the Príncipe de Asturias Hospital in Córdoba in 2021. Methodology. Universe: 125 professionals. Sample: 94 professionals. Data collection technique: self-administered survey. Instrument: A questionnaire with 10 semi-structured questions. Results: 94 subjects were observed. While 13 % of them claimed to have information in the form of their own knowledge on nursing, 87 % of them did not have that information. Regarding the care implemented, 93 % of the subjects provided a positive answer, while 3 % of them provided a negative one. Regarding the level of professional training, 65 % of the subjects answered negatively, while 35 % of them had information on the matter. Regarding autonomy characteristics, 84% of the subjects answered negatively, while the 10% of them had information on the matter. Regarding the ethical code, 96% of the subjects reported having no information on the matter, while 4% of them had information on the matter. Discussion Conclusion: As for the information about the characteristics of the nursing profession possessed by the interdisciplinary team, it is limited in the first place; secondly, there is little information in the form of knowledge and, regarding autonomy, it is insufficient. In view of what has been exposed here, the interdisciplinary team lacks information on the characteristics of the nursing profession. The observed results coincide with Coffre’s view (2020) on the weakened social image of the nurse, chased by old stigmas that remain prevalent at the present time. It is necessary to improve nursing’s social image through its strengthening, reinforcing identity, leadership and research. Recommendations: It is important to generate research, to disseminate information, to communicate the scientific aspect of the profession to interdisciplinary teams and to the society at large and to share different settings with interdisciplinary teams at institutions where nursing performs its functions. |

Introducción: A nivel mundial, enfermería constituye la mitad de fuerza laboral de salud, identificada responsable de coordinación de equipos de salud en diferentes niveles de atención sanitaria. La Dirección Nacional de Talento Humano y Conocimiento (2021) reportó 11% del personal de enfermería licenciadas/os; 41% enfermeras/os; 48% auxiliares. El trabajo de enfermería referido por agentes de salud, profesión con rol determinado, funciones específicas y estatus dentro del equipo interdisciplinario. Con objetivo de determinar información respecto a características de la profesión según equipo interdisciplinario del Hospital Príncipe de Asturias de Córdoba 2021. Metodología. Universo: 125 profesionales. Muestra: 94 profesionales. Técnica de recolección de datos, encuesta auto administrada. Instrumento: cuestionario con diez preguntas semiestructuradas. Resultados: Habiéndose observado 94 sujetos, el 13% señalaron poseer información sobre conocimientos propios de enfermería; el 87% no poseen información. Respecto del cuidado ejecutado 93% respondió positivamente; el 3% respuestas negativas. Con relación a niveles de formación profesional 65% respondieron negativamente; 35% poseen información. En lo concerniente a características de autonomía, 84% respondieron negativamente; el 10% refirió tener información. Relacionado con el código deontológico, 96% reportaron sin información; el 4% manifestó poseer información. Discusión - Conclusión: De acuerdo con información de características de la profesión de enfermería según equipo interdisciplinario, es limitada en primer orden; en segundo lugar, la información de conocimiento, es escasa; respecto de la autonomía, es insuficiente. Lo expuesto pone de manifiesto que el equipo interdisciplinario de salud carece de información sobre características de la profesión de enfermería. Los resultados observados coinciden con Coffre (2020), sobre la imagen social debilitada de la enfermera/o, persiguen estigmas del pasado persistiendo en el presente. Resulta necesario potenciar imagen social de enfermería mediante fortalecimiento, identidad, liderazgo e investigación. Recomendaciones: Generar investigaciones, divulgar, comunicar a equipos interdisciplinarios y sociedad general la cientificidad de la profesión, compartir diferentes espacios con equipos interdisciplinarios en instituciones donde enfermería desarrolla sus funciones. Trabalho de enfermagem referido pelos agentes de saúde, profissão com função específica, funções específicas e estatuto na equipa interdisciplinar. Com o objetivo de determinar informações sobre as características da profissão de acordo com a equipe interdisciplinar do Hospital Príncipe de Asturias em Córdoba 2021. Metodologia. Universo: 125 profissionais. Amostra: 94 profissionais. Técnica de coleta de dados, inquérito autoaplicável. Instrumento, questionário com dez questões semiestruturadas. Resultados: foram observados 94 sujeitos, 13% relataram ter informações sobre seus próprios conhecimentos de enfermagem, 87% não tinham informações. Em relação aos cuidados executados, 93% responderam positivamente, 3% respostas negativas. Em relação aos níveis de formação profissional, 65% responderam negativamente, 35% possuem informação. Quanto às características de autonomia, 84% responderam negativamente; 10% relataram ter informações. Em relação ao código de ética, 96% informaram sem informação, 4% afirmaram ter informação. Discussão-Conclusão: De acordo com as informações sobre as características da profissão de enfermagem segundo a equipe interdisciplinar, esta é limitada em primeira ordem; segundo, a informação do conhecimento é escassa, quanto à autonomia, é insuficiente. O exposto mostra que a equipe interdisciplinar de saúde carece de informações sobre as características da profissão de enfermagem. Os resultados observados coincidem com Coffre (2020), sobre a imagem social enfraquecida do enfermeiro, que perseguem estigmas do passado, persistindo no presente. Promover a imagem social da enfermagem através do fortalecimento, identidade, liderança e pesquisa. Recomendações: Gerar pesquisas, divulgar, comunicar às equipes interdisciplinares e sociedade em geral a cientificidade da profissão, compartilhar diferentes espaços com as equipes interdisciplinares nas instituições onde a enfermagem exerce suas funções.
