Sumario:This article describes the emergence of a new organizational model of rural schools in the Province of Santa Fe, Secondary  Rural Nuclei that are configured based on territorial groupings in the framework of the compulsory Secondary Level sanctioned by Law 26.206. In this new organization, tensions arise between the exercise of traditional management practices, the new reconfigurations and the health emergency. The importance of management is recognized, where the actions that drive  institutional improvement in the context of pandemic and post-pandemic are nested. A reflective contribution is made to redefine management practices that guide the improvement of secondary schools in rural contexts, in view of the challenges of the new normal.
