| Sumario: | This article transmits an experience in the field ofuniversity extension as an activity that empowerssocial transformation. The case that is shared,is a cultural management project whose centralintention was to generate the foundations of aCultural Community Circuit in the town of Bouwer(Córdoba-Argentina). This is a site marked byenvironmental damage left by an open-air garbagedump, which operated there until 2010.The social transfer activity was carried outbased on the possibility of contributing to raisingawareness about sustainable development andthe preservation of the environment using the Artas a language of expression and communication.Also, through the project, were revalued forgottenaspects of the historical cultural heritage ofthe place. In this way, by carrying out a taskof education and recovery of local identity,were promoted in the population actions thatencouraged behaviors that helped sustainability.Through cultural workshops that aroused thinkingabout the theme: My ideal city, the work focusedon a new image of the people, trying to get awayfrom the one that had been associated with theexistence of a waste deposit. As a power of thiswork, it can be mentioned that the systematizationwas capitalized in a report with replicable tools insimilar circumstances. |
