Sumario:The work summarizes main results of the research project entitled Media and political agendas in Latin America in the lustro 2010-2015. It focuses on the identification and subsequent description of political-government agendas over the yearsidentified, on the conceptual dimensions of the progressive cycle, and on the incidence and inclusion that those achieved in the continent's media agendas. In this period, one of the hallmarks of governments has been the promotion of socialand human rights, the regulation of economic demands with an active state role, and political action in the field of communication and culture.Hence the figure of a communicating State has occupied the attention of the representatives at the stage, especially in those countries where the rhythms of confrontation were persistent between governments and private media and opposition (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, and Venezuela, to mention the most emblematic). For reasons of space, this text is based on a conceptual review of the literature of recent political science in order to characterize the progressivism, of the role of governments in incorporating their political agendas into the public space.
