The objective is to explore the social uses of indigenous languages in training contexts that imply an update of the language not only as a means of communication and an object of teaching, but also as a fundamental dimension that intervenes in the status and conditions of use of the languages, and the teaching and learning processes. Next, we resume several theoretical-methodological issues in the work of Pierre Bourdieu (2000, 2014, 2022) to point out some contributions to the study of language in society from structuralist constructivism. El presente trabajo indaga en distintas maneras de pensar las relaciones con el lenguaje en el campo de la educación, y en una mirada sociológica crítica con perspectiva glotopolítica a la alquimia social de agencias, rarezas y capitales en juego. En primer lugar retomamos unas cuestiones teórico-metodológicas de la obra de Pierre Bourdieu (1970, 1980, 1982, 1999). En segundo lugar ponemos en diálogo los principios de la perspectiva glotopolítica con trabajos antropológicos para caracterizar los sentidos prácticos del uso de lenguas en prácticas de enseñanza. En tercer lugar exploramos en los usos sociales de las lenguas indígenas en contextos formativos que implica no sólo un empleo del idioma como medio de comunicación y como objeto de enseñanza, sino también como una parte fundamental de la configuración de prácticas culturales y relaciones interétnicas que influye en el estatus y en las condiciones de uso. Por último, en cuarto lugar y a modo de reflexión final, repensamos los aportes de la obra bourdiana (y su constructivismo estructuralista) al estudio del lenguaje en sociedades contemporáneas y de los usos interculturales de la lengua en el campo de la educación y la planificación didáctica.
