| Sumario: | How is the South-South migratory experience elaborated in peripheral urban contexts and in trajectories marked by subordinate insertion in the host society? Inscribing itself in the affective turn. the article aims to answer this question, based on an investigation of a Peruvian community in a neighborhood of the city of La Plata. The analysis is based on the results obtained in a census that shows dimensions associated with characterizing: a) reasons for nostalgia for the society of origin; and b) representations of the receiving society. Among the main factors of homesickness are family and customs; the main elements that are valued about Argentina are the opportunities and the treatment. From the emergence of these tropes, the presence of an emotional community is described with rules for the expression and management of recurring emotions. One of its most salient aspects is the experience of migratory mobility from emotional ambivalences, which are processed as subjective tensions. |
