| Sumario: | Throughout the last decade, the processes of production and circulation of books by independent publishers have been modified in various ways, related to the extension of catalogues, print runs, technical improvements, the possibilities of internationalization, the formalization of contractual relations and with the state, and the implementation of efficient distribution systems towards the book channel. With disparities, these publishers formed in the heat of the boom at the beginning of the century have been plotting professional developments appropriate to the future of each project, but crossed by neoliberal transformations in ways of life and work, which prescribe self-management and self-responsibility in spite of growing precariousness. In the present work, we operate on the available categories to reference these practices and contribute to the knowledge of the contemporary ways of production/circulation of the book. |
