The aim is to analyze an ongoing experience that is part of the voluntary work of over two decades and that has been determined by the activities of a political organization, in this case, the Communist Party of Argentina. In addition, the article presents the materials available in the archive and reflects on its current status and potential. En el presente artículo nos proponemos reconstruir y reflexionar en torno a la historia del Archivo Histórico del Comunismo de la ciudad de Rosario y a la vez dar cuenta del estado actual de ese repositorio documental. Se trata de analizar una experiencia en curso que se inscribe en un trabajo voluntario de más de dos décadas y que ha estado condicionado por las actividades propias de una organización política, en este caso, el Partido Comunista de la Argentina.
