Sumario:In this paper we propose to analyze the characteristics of recent studies on corruption, in the framework of the so-called “New” Cultural History of Political Corruption, and in the renewal of the historical sources used by researchers in their inquiries. Also, we examined the multiplicity of documents and archives available to approach, under these new paradigms, the allegations of corruption that surrounded the autonomist management of Governor José Gálvez (1886-1890) and that were linked to the scandal of the “Banco Provincial de Santa Fe”.
