Sumario:The church and religious studies of colonial an nineteenth-century Latin America, leading to an endless search for documentary sources, one very important books are manufactured.This papper attempts to account for the studies in the historiography of accounting developed in Spain and studies on rural church and hospital orders of the Rio de la Plata to late eighteenth century where these sources are used. Finishing with the analysis of two cases of such sources (Books Factory), in two parishes in the south of Buenos Aires campaing between 1780 and 1820, cases of Magdalena and San Vicente.
