| Sumario: | This article is about the meaning of the past and the history for the city of Rosario. Since 1852, the year when Rosario was declared a city, there were many moments when the government and the elites tried to find a glorious past for Rosario. During that process, the creation of the national flag in Rosario in 1812 became the most important fact to remember and celebrate. Bearing this in mind, we have set as our goal to analyze the whole process until 1939, when Rosario finally had the Contest to build the National Flag Memorial. |
