Sumario:In the 30s, new approaches in pedagogy, hygienism and architecture demanded reconsidering the existing school buildings and it became a topic of interest in many countries. In Argentina, school buildings were attended too and Argentinean professionals took part of this renovation process. Thereafter, it was began a discussion about school buildings and, gradually, new ideas were turned into buildings. Architectural journals played an important role in the transformation of school buildings because of their ability of spreading and its reference position in professional practice. These publications were the scene of the discussion about the subject, spread vanguard examples and showed the national production. Therefore, the publications about school buildings as a whole allow for reconstructing the imaginary about the topic and the configuration process of new models.
