| Sumario: | This article is a first approach to the analysis of a selection of documents from the personal archive ofClementina “Beba” Gil, which is available in the National Institute of Historical Investigations Eva Perón.Beba Gil was one of the women who created the Feminine Peronist Party in the 1940’s and had an intensepolitical participation in Chile in the campaigns of Carlos Ibáñez y Salvador Allende. Here we will enquireabout her participation among peronism during the 1980’s and the relationships she held with other womenoutside peronism. Concurrently, we will reflect on the political participation of peronist women in general.A question runs throughout the analysis: How women questioned gender inequality within peronism in acontext of feminist and women movement advancement. We will explore the constructed discourse and theintestine disputes generated from that questioning. |
