Sumario:Banditry as a theme particularly in Mexico and Latin America has recently been favored by the development of theoretical ways of approaching it, as well as by the access and use of multiple documentary sources. Research has resulted in a broader understanding and the creation of different models of interpretation that consider the local contexts and the peculiarities of those involved, mainly by the municipal information sources, as the core. For this reason, a theoretical and documentary course on the subject is elaborated in different Latin American countries, being emphasized in the Mexican case.
