Sumario:The report titled "Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas. Proyecto de creación y estudios conexos" is a study produced in 1956 by some of the most prominent scientists of Argentina, in request of the military authorities which at that time were evaluating the bases for the construction of a centralized institution for the promotion y coordination of scientific research in the national level. The evaluation of these scientists, beyond their own political stances, allows us to observe de lines of continuity between the history of science before and after the fall of peronism in 1955, as well make a contribution to a historic reconstruction of the origins of the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) founded in 1958. Through the analysis of this material, in dialogue with primary and secondary sources, this paper will attempt to show the tensions that crossed the actors that participated in this particular expression of the policy of “desperonización” of the military government of the self-proclaimed Revolución Libertadora.
