After this meeting, we invited other colleagues who had gone through a similar process to write down their experiences so that we could recognize differences and similarities in the historiographic work. Este dossier nació a partir de la invitación que, desde el Archivo del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto (en adelante, AMREC), nos hicieron para participar de una mesa-debate cuya finalidad era compartir con un público amplio cómo fue nuestra labor en el mencionado repositorio (¿cuál/cuáles fue/fueron nuestros temas/problemas de investigación?, ¿por qué nos acercamos al AMREC?, ¿qué material usamos?, ¿cómo fue la práctica diaria con el mismo?) y qué impacto tuvo sobre nuestros planes de trabajo (¿qué datos encontramos en las fuentes?, ¿transformaron nuestras inquietudes iniciales?, ¿nos dieron nuevas respuestas a viejas preguntas?). Ese encuentro sirvió como disparador para convocar a otros/as colegas que hubieran transitado por un proceso similar a fin de que registrasen por escrito sus experiencias y que, a partir de ellas, pudiéramos reconocer diferencias y similitudes en el quehacer de la labor historiográfica más allá de las vivencias propias.
