It is intended to address them taking as parameters the concepts of universality of Human Rights versus that of cultural diversity, through ananalysis of the situation of vulnerable groups in that country such as the LGTBIQ+ collective, women and migrant workers. Finally, some conclusions are reached about the future prospects for the effective enjoyment of fundamental rights in this Arab country. El presente artículo analiza y describe la problemática de los Derechos Humanos en Qatar, tomando en consideración la organización de la próxima Copa Mundial de Fútbol de la Federación Internacional de Fútbol Asociado (FIFA) en ese país. Se pretende abordarlos tomando como parámetros los conceptos de universalidad de los Derechos Humanos frente al de diversidad cultural, a través de un análisis de la situación grupos vulnerables en ese país como son el colectivo LGTBIQ+, las mujeres y los trabajadores migrantes. Finalmente, se arriban a algunas conclusiones sobre las perspectivas a futuro para el efectivo goce de los derechos fundamentales en este país arábigo.
