Rules built under the Medical Model continue to coexist in our internal legal system that do not respond to the principles, guarantees and rights protected by the International Convention that conceives disability as a matter of human rights, within the framework of the Social Model. For this reason and as a product of the research and extensión work carried out, a reform proposal is presented and exposed in the “Work Axis”, in the open, participatory, plural and federal call carried out by the National Agency for Disability (ANDIS) for the purpose of replacing Law No. 22431. A pesar de haber transcurrido catorce años desde que fuera aprobada la Convención sobre los Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad (CDPD) que impone a los Estados la obligación de armonizar la legislación interna de sus países con sus preceptos, el Estado argentino todavía no ha cumplido con esa obligación asumida. Continúan coexistiendo en nuestro sistema legal interno, normas construidas bajo el Modelo Médico que no responden a los principios, garantías y derechos protegidos por la Convención Internacional que concibe a la discapacidad como cuestión de derechos humanos, en el marco del Modelo Social. En virtud de ello y como producto del trabajo de investigación y extensión realizado, se presenta y expone una propuesta de reforma en el “Eje trabajo”, en la convocatoria abierta, participativa, plural y federal realizada por la Agencia Nacional de Discapacidad (ANDIS) a los fines de sustituir la ley n° 22431.
