| Sumario: | Despite the fact that fourteen years have passed since the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) was approved, which imposes on States the obligation to harmonize the internal legislation of their countries with its precepts, the situation has not changed, the Argentine State, has not yet complied with that as sume dobligation. Rules built under the Medical Model continue to coexist in our internal legal system that do not respond to the principles, guarantees and rights protected by the International Convention that conceives disability as a matter of human rights, within the framework of the Social Model. For this reason and as a product of the research and extensión work carried out, a reform proposal is presented and exposed in the “Work Axis”, in the open, participatory, plural and federal call carried out by the National Agency for Disability (ANDIS) for the purpose of replacing Law No. 22431. |
