Sumario:Through their constitutional reforms, Colombia (1991) and Argentina (1994) incorporated a series of social, economic, and cultural rights, which in both states formed a new constitutionality plexus. This incorporation as a reflection of the particular modernizing processes modified the meaning of the legal systems forged under the idea of ​​universality, and consequently, legal effectiveness in all its aspects. This paper, as part of a broader investigation, proposes to delineate a perspective of socio-historical analysis that allows to address in the future the resulting legal effectiveness around women's rights.
