The focus is particularly on the field of relational, collective and community arts, on arts education and on free and open technologies. In the collection of experiences presented, the arts and technologies act as mediation devices, in spaces of formal and non-formal education, in territorial artistic projects, in projects of independent artists groups and activists, in cultural institutions and in government programs linked to public policies. En este artículo se abordan diversas manifestaciones de las artes y las tecnologías en la mediación cultural latinoamericana, a partir del análisis de un conjunto de prácticas realizadas en la región, desde el diálogo entre éstas y desde la experiencia propia en Argentina. El enfoque está puesto particularmente en el terreno de las artes relacionales, colectivas y comunitarias, en la educación artística y en las tecnologías libres y abiertas. En el recorte de experiencias presentado, las artes y las tecnologías actúan como dispositivos de mediación, en espacios de educación formal y no formal, en proyectos artísticos territoriales, en proyectos de grupos de artistas y activistas independientes, en instituciones culturales y en programas gubernamentales ligados a políticas públicas.
