It covers different perspectives that over the decades have nurtured and shaped the practices that museums have carried out in the name of education. It is a brief and general synthesis of the trends and movements that I have encountered throughout my career as a museum educator. From each topic there are countless dialogues to be established and perspectives to be explored. Therefore, far from seeking to exhaust the discussion, I propose that the text serve as a catalyst for ideas, reflections and conversations about what museums can offer in terms of education. El texto reúne más de 20 años de experiencias, aprendizajes y reflexiones sobre la acción educativa en el museo. Recorre diferentes perspectivas que a lo largo de las décadas han nutrido y dado forma a las prácticas que museos han realizado en nombre de la educación. Se trata de una síntesis breve y general sobre las tendencias y los movimientos con los que me he encontrado a lo largo de mi carrera como educador en museos. De cada tema quedan innumerables diálogos que establecer y perspectivas en las cuales profundizar por lo que, lejos de buscar agotar la discusión, propongo que el texto sirva como un catalizador de ideas, reflexiones y conversaciones sobre lo que los museos pueden ofrecer en términos de educación.
