Sumario:How can we identify building materials? Which ways can we consider to characterize them beyond the identifications of production seals and their sizes? What can you do when these features are not present in the found materials? This essay try to generate answers to this questions through an interdisciplinary approach to understand the processes of production of bricks found in different excavations in the area of San José de Flores. Tests were develop for the identification of physic characteristics taking in account two aspects, founding at a macro and micro level, as well as chemical characterization. Through the identification of soil in the area, we seek to match spatial and temporal data with archaeological artifacts. This analysis it’s part of a grade thesis, which is in its final stage of development.
