Sumario:The year 2014, product of the construction of an apartment building, was excavated Leonor Cepeda 952, archaeological site located in the commune of independence (Santiago de Chile) territory, which since colonial times and until the beginning of the twentieth century formed part of La Chimba, one of the frst neighborhoods of the capital. A garbage dump with waste from alcoholic beverages of late nineteenth century and early twentieth was identifed during work. Through the restoration and initial characterization of the ceramic material belonging to beer containers rescued at the site it is concluded that  most of the used bottles were imported and that this site could be linked to “La trattoria el Arenal”, Tavern in the sector particularly famous during the time of the war of the Pacifc. From these works were contacted the Corporation culture and heritage of the commune of independence in order to disseminate the community between these fndings and in this way contribute to the construction of the history of the commune.
