Sumario:The so-called “artifacts Traful”, found since the beginning of the 20th. Century, represent unusual devices, different in relation to the lithic objects which usually are found in the archaeological record in the area of North-Patagonia. There is no agreement among the researchers who interpreted the function of these lithic objects. This paper presents a synthesis of this kind of archaeological findings, a map which shows its distribution and exposes the results of the microanalysis (traceability) studies on a sample of five artifacts Traful which were found in the area.
