| Sumario: | Archaeological sites generated by hunter-gatherers in the Lower Parana’s wetland (Late Holocene) have large quantities of pottery. Plain and incised pottery was used synchronically. The latter shows complex patterns established at least 1700 BP, and it continued till the Europeans arrived to the area. Information provided by those patterns allows us to explore the socialrelationships between hunter-gatherers. The archaeological complexity in pottery increases due to the arrival of Amazonian horticulturalist groups, few centuries before Europeans began to explore the wetland. |
