Sumario:The archaeological deposit Alamito is part of the cultural archaeological heritage of the Aconquija District. Over the last few years, it has suffered a substantial destruction process that affected its physical integrity. This work proposes a reflective evaluation of factors related to academic hermeticism, cultural undervaluation, economic inequality and political neglect. It also considers how these elements have generated an improper protection and valuation of the Alamito sites. In order to solve this problem, we propose a program of workshops with the community and the authorities, which would address issues of valuation, preservation and conservation of archaeological heritage. This would allow for participants to discover the symbolic capacity of heritage to represent identities.
