| Sumario: | This work focuses on the study of social practices around the preparation and bound of the chaguar bags, inside the wichí communities of La Loma (Salta), which seeks approach the matter or the use of chaguar fiber understanding material culture as an active element of social relationships. Thus, fiber chaguar as products derived from it, are not considered as mere objects of use and disposal, but obtain a symbolic character and identity. Importantly, the role of women in the community and also see how this materiality that is inserted into the local craft market, and how this situation has generated hybridization processes that have re-meaning these objects. |
