Sumario:We present a new focus on the understanding of the productive area of Bajo del Coypar I, Catamarca, Argentina. In this article we integrate spatial and pottery evidence in order to analyze the possible function of structures found on an area previously thought as an exclusively productive space. These structures were detected analyzing satellital images and afterwards visited in the field. An initial approach to the evidence collected from these structures allows an interpretation of them as households. If so, the area should be reevaluated as a productive space exclusively, since it contains residential as well as productive structures.
