Sumario:The “El Tala” intermountain valley, in the province of Catamarca, is an area with a mountainous environment that has been interpreted in archeology around its agricultural potential. In recent years we have carried out intensive work in the region, departing from Landscape Archeology as theoretical basis we ask ourselves about the social construction of the landscape in the area. Methodologically we apply the novel Trail Prospecting System (SPS in Spanish), which allowed us to gather information from more than 30 archaeological sites, registering residential structures that had not been reported for the area yet.
