Sumario:In this article we present the results of a study on the social perceptions of the Boca de las Sierras Natural Reserve (Buenos Aires province, Argentina) and its surrounding landscape, in order to better understand its management problems. Currently, this Reserve is not fully implemented due to conflicts of interest between various political agents and other management problems. In this context, through a qualitative-quantitative approach based on surveys and semi-structured interviews, the perceptions of stakeholders and visitors to the area were analyzed. The results obtained reveal contradictions between the government’s management policies, the values and the attitudes of the citizens on the territory. In this context, an approach is proposed from the planning of public communication and citizen participation.
