Sumario:In this paper, the results obtained from the analysis of the lithic material recovered in the Alero Dupuy site are presented, with the objective of knowing the technological transformations that took place at different times of Holocene. It seeks to contributewith new information about a little-known period in the province of San Luis, such as the middle Holocene. The site is located in the upper basin of the Quinto river (Coronel Pringles department, San Luis) and has an occupational sequence of more than 4,000 years. The results show an intensification in occupation and size activities along with a change in site functionality. Theincrease in regional raw materials and the combination of unifacial and bifacial techniques, the intensive use of immediately available lithic resources and the incorporation of new technologies are observed.
