description This work proposes an analysis of the book Los lemmings y otros (2005), from writer Fabián Casas, considering its structure —using the theory of “integrated stories” (2012) by the critic José Sánchez Carbó— as well as the topics covered in the volumen —that range from the use of specific literary motives to a personal mixture from high culture and low culture— As it will be appreciated, such elements work as connecting threads within the ten pieces that are part of this literary work. A collection of “open” stories and the inclusion of pop culture references are already recurring in Fabián Casas’ work, but, as it will be underscored, in this particular volume they are not only at the service of a “return to childhood”, as some critics state, but they will also be a distinctive sample of a major literary project, where the generic boundaries from poetry, essay and narrative will be more and more diffuse for reasons that are particular to his expansive way of creation.
