Sumario:We present the results of the analysis of the lithic assemblage recovered at Alero La Esperanza (La Numancia, Tandil, Pampean Region). The site is a lithic workshop radiocarbon dated to the Middle Holocene, located nearby two Sierras Bayas group orthoquartzite quarry-workshops. Our results show that the middle stages of the chaîne opératoire were carried out at the site, and that the production goals are consistent with the technological strategies proposed for Sierras Bayas Group orthoquartzites during the Middle Holocene.
