Sumario:Agriculture in our country has stood out over the past two decades for its growth, dynamism as well as for the controversies arisen from its role as the nation's economic engine and from discussions around the effectiveness of withholding taxes on agricultural exports. The present work is intended to analyze the relationship between agriculture and economic growth supported on econometric estimation. The main results suggested that there is a positive effect of the agricultural yields upon the product in the long run but negative in the short run.
