description Within the framework of the periodic debate sessions organized since 2013 by the Network of Indigenous and Peasant Studies, in August 2016 the Sixth Meeting of the Network was held at the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities of the National University of Córdoba, dedicated to the problem of "The Indian Peoples of the Tucumán Governorate (XVI-XIX centuries): state of the question and cases". In this Meeting, five papers were presented by specialists, who were able to discuss the latest advances and build a state of the question on the convening theme. The specific themes of the presentations and the approach to the historical process of the Indian peoples followed a regional logic crossed by the jurisdictions of the colonial cities of the Tucumán Governorate: Gabriela Sica on Jujuy, Estela Noli on Tucumán, Roxana Boixadós on La Rioja, Judith Farberman on Santiago del Estero and Sonia Tell and Isabel Castro Olañeta on Córdoba. Subsequently, the Comments of Silvia Palomeque and Ana María Presta to the works, which have been taken into account by the authors, were presented for the review of the articles presented in the Dossier.
