Sumario:The presence of technology in the current information age is creating new demands for teachers in Institutions at the basic level. The situation of a Technical High School was analyzed; such school requires training for teachers in the use of ICT to achieve personal and professional development. For the development of this study, a non-experimental, cross-correlation design was adopted, where 112 questionnaires were applied to the students and 10 questionnaires were applied to the teachers of the High School, in order to study the technological tools known and applied by students and teachers to strengthen the teaching-learning process. It was found that in the participating institution there is minimal use of multimedia tools in the classroom, however there is interest in technology issues. The development of attitudes and skills to generate more learning strategies is considered relevant to promote new projects with the implementation of technological tools.
