Starting from a hermeneutical diapason, which aims to look back at the past and confront the present, the importance of regional and classic literature is noticed, one which explores everyday life and sheds light in order to understand the present cycles. Rescuing from the work El cristo de espaldas the forms of violence and how the discourses of uprooting and ideological and social exclusion, are transformed into a direct denunciation to a legacy that has not been overcome. By way of the present reflective exercise, there appears a claim to the pending claim for the task of consolidating a nation, especially from the standpoint of the participative citizenry, who, based on their reality should lay bridges with its history, culture, and literature in order to grasp and signify its present and this way renounce the weight of that split mentality.
