Through the seasons, we witness the grieving process of its protagonists, who approach the abrupt loss of their newborn baby in very different ways. These different ways of grieving are intertwined at times, showing incompatibility and assuming the final separation of the couple, as well as the approach of the protagonist to her own mother. The inner reconciliation of the protagonist with what happened, will be the result of an introspective, reflective and inner journey. In this article we will try to walk this path, recomposing the pieces in which both characters, as well as the character of the grandmother, are decomposing throughout the film. Pieces of a Woman (Kornél Mundruczó, 2020) es una historia de pérdida, un viaje por el duelo y el intento de recuperación, una historia de amor y dolor. A través del paso de las estaciones somos testigos del proceso de duelo de sus protagonistas, que abordan la abrupta pérdida de su bebé recién nacida de formas muy diferentes. Los modos en que los personajes de esta película enfrentan un suceso tan traumático, se entrelazan por momentos, mostrándose incompatibles y suponiendo la separación final de la pareja, así como el acercamiento de la protagonista a su propia madre. La reconciliación interior de la protagonista con lo sucedido será el resultado de un camino introspectivo, reflexivo e interior. En este artículo trataremos de transitar este camino, recomponiendo las piezas en las que ambos personajes, así como el personaje de la abuela, van descomponiéndose a lo largo de la película.
