The initial purpose was the articulation between teaching and research in this disciplinary field. In this way, together with the progress of research projects for professors as well as undergraduate and graduate thesis, a team was formed that also dealt with teaching tasks (at different levels) and training. To describe the stages of this process, the article is divided into three parts: the first, focuses on the initial research projects that were consolidated and expanded between 2005 and 2014; the second, exposes the expansion to a greater scale of the research in a Research Program made up of three teams; the third, presents the path of two of those teams under the direction of the authors of this article, between 2014 and the present. This fifteen-year research process involved a study on Latin American literature, theory and criticism that gradually specialized in important problematic aspects of the current academic agenda. El presente artículo se centra en el desarrollo de un extenso y complejo proceso de investigación llevado a cabo durante quince años en torno a la literatura latinoamericana. El propósito inicial fue el trabajo a partir de la articulación entre docencia e investigación ya que, de modo paralelo al avance de los estudios y las tesis de grado y posgrado, se fue formando un equipo docente que se ocupó también de tareas de enseñanza (en distintos niveles) y formación. Para dar cuenta de los tránsitos de este trabajo, el artículo se divide en tres partes: la primera, hace un recorrido por los proyectos iniciales de investigación de un equipo que se consolida y expande entre los años 2005 y 2014; la segunda, expone la ampliación a mayor escala de la investigación en un programa de investigación compuesto por tres equipos; la tercera, presenta la trayectoria que dos de esos equipos han desarrollado desde el 2014 al presente, bajo la dirección de las autoras de este artículo. Este proceso de investigación de quince años supuso un trabajo sobre la literatura, la teoría y la crítica latinoamericanas que se fue especializando en importantes núcleos problemáticos vigentes en la agenda académica actual.
