We believe that the reflection around the content of this material and its circulation (we raised signs of an interesting circulation in Latin America at the end of the 19th century) contributes to the construction of a clearer understanding of the general panorama of the period, since the debates in this type of literature and the adoption of certain strategies in order to disseminate the proposals for cure and prevention, as well as to obtain legitimacy for them, seem to indicate some of the characteristics of the exchanges and disputes signed in this context by different agents.
