However, considering the analytical approach regarding the work of left political organizations, such progress lacks comprehensiveness, presenting partial and heterogeneous approaches. In this sense, this article seeks to contribute, from the intertwining of political history and political analysis, to this field of study in development, to the understanding of different positions of left political parties in Argentina (PC, PCR, PO, PST, FIP y PRT-ERP) before the establishment of the last civic-military dictatorship in the country, based on a thorough job with primary sources. El campo de estudios sobre la historia reciente argentina, especialmente los abordajes sobre diferentes aspectos de la última dictadura cívico-militar (1976-1983), ha tenido un desarrollo fructífero y vasto. Sin embargo, en lo que se refiere a la aproximación analítica respecto al quehacer de las organizaciones político-partidaria de izquierda, dicho progreso también se observa, pero adoleciendo de integralidad, presentándose abordajes parciales y heterogéneos. En este sentido, este artículo pretende contribuir a este campo de estudio en desarrollo, a través de la explicitación y comprensión de los diversos posicionamientos de los partidos políticos de la izquierda argentina (PC, PCR, PO, PST, FIP y PRT-ERP) ante el proceso previo (1973-1976) y posterior a la instauración de la última dictadura cívico-militar en Argentina, haciendo uso de un trabajo exhaustivo de fuentes primarias.
