Isolation and purification of fulvic acids from a pampasic pond (Argentina)

Descripción
Sumario:A method for the isolation of humic substances from El Burro Pond (Argentina) is described. Only fulvic acids are present due to the chemical composition of the water. The procedure is based on the adsorption-desorption through a macroporous resin (Amberlite XAD-2), neutralization of the eluate, desalting (Sephadex G-15), ion exchange (Amberlite IRA-120, H-form) and lyophilization. The low ash content of the dried material indicates the effectiveness of the procedure.
