Nota de contenido:
"This book is based on a pilot research project funded by the Independent Broadcasting Authority, which was conducted in the spring of 1985, investigating television viewing in a small number of families from different social backgrounds. Because of the small size of the sample (and the restricted definition of household type employed in its construction) care must be taken in attempting to generalise from my findings. The research was of a preliminary nature, and uses qualitative techniques, aiming to pursue issues about programme preference and viewing behaviour in depth, so as to raise questions which could usefully be pursued at a later stage, both in extended qualitative work with a broader sample and in survey work." --P. [11]
